Mary Grace Loftin

Congratulations to Mary Grace Loftin, 2007-2008 Student Employee of the Year!
Mary Grace is a junior Communication Disorders major and began her job here on campus in January of 2006. For the past three years she has been learning the ins and outs of her job at the library. She has truly enjoyed the work that she has done and it has even convinced her to pursue a Master’s degree in library science after she completes her Bachelor’s degree in communication disorders.
Mary Grace believes that working on campus is an excellent opportunity due to the convenience of getting to work, the leniency that on campus jobs have with class schedules, and the overall good experience that is obtained from it. Mary Grace had no idea that she had even been nominated for Student Employee of the Year. She just went into work every day focused on always giving her all and doing her best work. When her supervisor recognized her initiative she nominated her and now Mary Grace is elated and honored to be recognized as the 2008 Student Employee of the Year.
Her supervisor, Connie Pendley says “Mary Grace has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing excellent quality work. Her work is accurate and always competed in a timely manner." Ms. Pendley also states that Mary grace uses her patience and calm demeanor to help new student assistants settle in and get off to a good start.
